GO PROWe offer a full range of PADI Dive Courses, from Beginner, to Advanced and on to Professional. The Dive Academy can take you from a beginner with no experience to a professional, giving you the opportunity for a fantastic and exciting new career. We offer packages from Open Water Diver Course all the way to Divemaster. We can also arrange a package to include the Instructor Development Course. If you are already an experienced diver then we can accommodate your progression up the PADI ladder to Divemaster. DIVEMASTERThe first level as a professional diver is PADI Divemaster. The Divemaster course is a 4-6 weeks internship program which expands on the problem solving skills introduced on the Rescue Diver Course. The divemaster course extends the accident management and prevention skills learned on the Rescue Course to include supervisory situations with student divers and certified divers. At divemaster level, problem solving requires looking for many possible solutions to a problem and choosing the best one available. A divemaster’s problems may not always be safety related – they may include customer service, business or operational challenges. The knowledge you gain from the course will assist you in the choices and decisions you make. The course also addresses attitudes and judgement. The Divemaster Course is divided into Knowledge Development, Waterskills and stamina and practical application sessions. The course includes independent study and research, training the candidate to find information. Independent study will be integrated into the course schedule, so that candidates use their spare time between class sessions and exercises. INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE (IDC)The next step in your diving development after Divemaster is the Instructor Development Course. This is a two week program, ending with a 2 ˝ day Instructor Exam conducted by a PADI Examiner. The IDC develops a candidates teaching and presentation skills, along with teaching the basics required to become a PADI Instructor and prepares candidates for the Instructor Examination.
