 Becoming a PADI Professional gives you the opportunity to live and work the way most people only dream of living, in some of the most fantastic destinations in the world. The Dive Academy is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and can take you from a complete beginner all the way to PADI Instructor. At each step of your training we will make sure you are fully prepared before moving on to the next course – we spend as much time on your training as we feel is needed to help you reach the exceptionally high standards we insist upon for our students. The journey from total beginner to becoming an Instructor takes as little as six months, or if you are already a diver you could be ready to begin your Professional Courses within a week. If you haven’t already, along the way you will discover what makes the underwater world such a fascinating place, and you will enjoy the excitement of some fantastic new adventures. Whether you are new to diving or are an experienced diver, the courses you take to become a Professional will increase your knowledge and experience and will fully prepare you to share your fascination with the underwater world with others. The first level as a professional diver is PADI Divemaster. The Divemaster course is a 4-6 weeks internship program which expands on the problem solving skills introduced on the Rescue Diver Course and extends the accident management and prevention skills learned on the Rescue Course to include supervisory situations with student divers and certified divers.  At Divemaster level, problem solving requires looking for many possible solutions to a problem and choosing the best one available. A Divemaster’s problems may not always be safety related – they may include customer service, business or operational challenges. The knowledge you gain from the course will assist you in the choices and decisions you make which make you a confident and reliable Divemaster. The course also addresses attitudes and judgement.
The next step in your diving development after Divemaster is the Instructor Development Course. This is a two week program, ending with a 2 ½ day Instructor Exam conducted by a PADI Examiner. The IDC develops a candidates teaching and presentation skills, along with teaching the basics required to become a PADI Instructor and prepares candidates for the Instructor Examination.  The PADI Instructor rating is the most sought after Instructor rating in the world and gives you the opportunity to live and work in some of the most fantastic destinations. Live the dream!!
